A CW fan favorite is coming to the Hamptons on ABC’s Revenge.
Justin Hartley has been cast in the pivotal role of Patrick, Victoria Grayson’s long-lost son, E! Online reports.
Patrick’s first appearance actually took place in the second season finale, when he arrived on Victoria’s doorstep. Viewers were not given a glimpse of his face, however—only Victoria’s shock at his appearance.
Little is known about Patrick thus far. Victoria gave him away at a very young age so she could attend school in Paris; when he tried to find her later, she paid him off to disappear.
Five months will have passed when the series returns this fall. It will certainly be interesting to see how the relationship between mother and son has developed in the intervening months.
Hartley is best known for his roles as Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow, on Smallville, and Will Collins on Emily Owens M.D.
News of Hartley’s casting comes amid a number of changes for the ABC show. As previously reported, cast members Ashley Madekwe and Connor Paolo will not be returning for the third season, and creator Mike Kelley has been replaced by Sunil Nayar.
Hartley will appear in the third season premiere when Revenge returns this fall.
