It’s official. Huffington Post announces that Justin Chatwin is leaving Shameless.
Shameless aired on Showtime in 2011, based off a British show with the same name. The show centers on alcoholic Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) as he stumbled his way through life. Meanwhile, his six children try to deal with him as best they can.
Chatwin has been a part of the show since the first season in his role of Jimmy. Jimmy, the love interest of Emmy Rossum’s character Fiona, was seen presumably dying in the season 3 finale.
Huffington Post reports that executive producer John Wells revealed that Jimmy would not return during a TV Academy Emmy panel on June 4. However, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Jimmy may appear at some point in season four.
