Josh Hopkins is joining the cast of ABC’s new thriller, Quantico (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Josh Hopkins, who is known for his role in Cougar Town, will play Special Agent Liam O’Conner. Liam O’Conner was originally played by Dougray Scott (Hemlock Grove) in the pilot, but the role has since been recast. Quantico is centered around young FBI recruits and their training in Virginia. But the series turns into a terrorist conspiracy thriller when it is suspected that one of the FBI recruits has played a part in a recent terrorist act. The show stars Priyanka Chopra, famous Bollywood actress. Hopkins will play a staff counselor at the FBI base who will work with the new and young recruits. Earlier we reported on another new cast member joining the show, Anabelle Acosta. Acosta and Hopkins will now join stars Jake McLaughlin (In the Valley of Elah), Aunjanue Ellis (The Help), and Yasmine Al Masri (Caramel).
Quantico was created by Joshua Safran (Gossip Girl) and will executively produce alongside Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper.
The show has recently been moved up into the Sunday time slot because the pilot was well received (via Deadline). Quantico premieres September 27 on ABC. Catch the trailer here:
