Joseph Gordon-Levitt ‘HitRecord on TV’ Coming to Sundance and Pivot

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is premiering his new television series HitRecord on TV at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and on cable network Pivot.

According to Indiewire, three episodes on the variety show will premiere at the New Frontier sidebar. Gordon-Levitt has screened work from hitRECord, a crowd sourced multimedia production company he founded, at Sundance before. This will be the second time TV has been screened at Sundance; last year Jane Campion screened miniseries Top of the Lake.

The series is expected to play at Sundance on January 17 and will premiere on Pivot on January 18 with two back-to-back episodes. In total, the season will have eight episodes.

“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the premiere of HitRecord on TV than by a screening at Sundance — a place that means a great deal to me personally,” Gordon-Levitt said. “We launched hitRECord as a production company at Sundance back in 2010 at New Frontier and have been very fortunate to be invited back for screenings and events ever since. I’m so grateful for the continuous support Sundance has provided to hitRECord through the years. It’ll be exciting to share our show with Park City audiences before it premieres on Pivot in January!”

Gordon-Levitt created, directed and hosted the series along with Jared Geller and Brian Graden executive producing. The series will include various works created in the hitRECord global community including short films, live performances, music, cartoons and more.
