Jonathan Jackson Gets New Record Deal

Thanks to his work on Nashville, the actor just signed a brand-new record deal with Loud & Proud productions, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The thirty-one year old actor has been working independently as the lead vocalist of Enation, a band he created back in 2002 with his brother Richard Jackson, a drummer, and bassist Daniel Sweatt, but will now be represented by a proper music company.

Although Jackson is very happy with the new deal, he doesn’t forget what led him here. “The last decade, really, I’ve had an amazing time just working really hard developing a sound and continuing to write songs and play everything. So I’m really grateful for the time that we’ve been doing things independently, but at the same time it feels great to have this happen.”

The actor is also grateful to his role as Avery on Nashville, which has been granting him more exposure as an artist.

“Being a part of a show like Nashville, [with] the music side of it, I knew from the very beginning that it was extremely important and that they were obviously putting a lot into it,” he said, “It was pretty easy to see that at the least, I would get more exposure as a singer. For years, I’ve thought about a project or a way where I could do acting and music together, and I never really thought that would happen. Then Nashville came along, and it was like a dream come true to marry both of those worlds.”

There is not date set for his first release with Loud & Proud, although it is already known that Jonathan has been recording and demoing music for it for some time now.
