According to Deadline, a star on the show Full House and guest star on Fuller House, John Stamos decided to commemorate the late Bob Saget on social media. Stamos shared one of the last pictures taken of him and Saget. The image was released by Stamos nearly two years after the death of Saget in January of 2022.
The picture shows other stars of the show with the two actors, including Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin, and Candace Cameron Bure, says Deadline. This is not the first time that Stamos has commemorated Saget, as he was also mentioned in his memoir If You Would Have Told Me. Stamos wrote that he couldn’t imagine Saget truly being gone and that “I try to imagine him still on the road, doing what he loves. He’s standing onstage, killing. Another two-hour set in front of a couple hundred of the luckiest people on the planet. They’re laughing so hard they weep. And just when they catch their breath, he grabs his guitar and slays with one of his musical closers. There’s an encore, and another, and another. Everyone wants an encore with Bob.”
Stamos played Uncle Jesse in Full House and its sequel Fuller House while Saget played Danny Tanner in both of the shows.
The Full House synopsis on IMDB reads that “Needing help after his wife’s sudden death, talk show host Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) calls on his Elvis obsessed, rock n’ roll, brother in law, Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and his childhood best friend, stand up comedian Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) to help him take care of his 3 daughters, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen).”
Fuller House follows a similar story, with D.J. now going through the same situation as her father and taking the help of her sister Stephanie and her best friend Kimmy to help with her three kids. Danny, Jesse, and Joey all make guest appearances throughout the show.
