According to The Hollywood Reporter, Heads of State co-writer Harrison Query (Missing) just received a straight-to-series order from Netflix for a new show called Trigger Point. Trigger Point is a crime drama that will star Joel Edgerton (The Crew, Train Dreams). Edgerton is no stranger to the Hollywood scene. According to mxdwn, he joined Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman, My Best Friend’s Wedding) and Sean Penn (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Into the Wild) in the Watergate limited series, Gaslit. Additionally, Edgerton currently stars in the Apple TV series, The Last Frontier.
The Hollywood Reporter also mentions that Trigger Point will have eight episodes in the season. Netflix describes this action crime drama as “a group of former Tier One Special Forces operators who sell their elite skills to the criminal underworld behind the front of a private military contracting firm— and the FBI agent who’s hunting for them.” Repped by WME and Anonymous Content, Edgerton will play the character, Red, who is a former special forces operative who turned to crime. Query is with CAA, Ground Control, and director Jeremy Saulnier (Dig Me No Grave, The Order) is repped by CAA.
