Sad news today as the co-creator of the beloved television series The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Jim Geoghan (The Suite Life on Deck, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) has passed away. Geoghan’s cause of death hasn’t been reveled.

For those who don’t know, Geoghan was born on July 5, 1947, in the Bronx, New York City. He attended the New York Institute of Technology. In 2005, alongside Danny Kallis (The Suite Life on Deck, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) the two created the popular Disney Channel sitcom The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. The series told a story about two twins known as the Martins, who live in a glamorous hotel known as the Tipton. The Martins would end up getting into a variety of hijinx and shenanigans while also learning some important life lessons along the way.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, lead actor Cole Sprouse (The Long Haul, The Rivals of Amiziah King) issued this statement regarding the departed co-creator: “Jim was a wonderful person and wonderful leader on set. A positive light every time he walked onto the stage and someone who navigated leadership with optimism and levity. An integral part of all of our lives for the eight years I had the pleasure of being in his. He’ll be missed dearly.” Geoghan would later earn two Emmy nominations for his work on the show and would continue The Suite Life saga by making the spinoff series The Suite Life on Deck. He also worked on Family Matters back in 1991 to 1998, where he work his way up from a producer to co-executive producer.

The cast of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody consists of Sprouse, Dylan Sprouse (Big City Greens, Neglected), Brenda Song (Running Point, Operation Taco Gary’s), Ashley French (Phineas and Ferb, Chibiverse), Phil Lewis (Scrubs, American Dad!), Kim Rhodes (Enmeshed, Nowhere Good), Adrian R’Mante (Buster Brooks, Even in Dreams), Brian Stepanek (Max & the Midknights, The Rookie), Sharon Jordan (The Company We Keep, Hello Au Revoir), Antony Acker (The Mentalist, Frost/Nixon), Charlie Stewart (The Secret Lives of Dorks, My Dog’s Christmas Miracle), Estelle Harris (Toy Story 4, Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates), and Patrick Bristow (Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, Nobody Wants This).
