Is Jessica Jones resurrecting a character or is our favorite heroine hallucinating? That’s the question every fan site is asking with the release of a photo on Entertainment Weekly’s Instagram account.
Pictures of David Tennant (Kilgrave) on the Jessica Jones set have been making the rounds across the internet for months now fueling speculation that he somehow rises from the ashes. However, given the look on Jones’ (Krysten Ritter) face in the photo, he may still be playing mind games.
According to an article on ComicBook.com, Ritter spoke in an interview about the tumultuous experiences her character has had. “You feel for her … Every time, you’re just like, ‘Ugh, she’s been through so much.’ Yet she still fights. Which is what we love about her,” Ritter said. “The first season was in her head and the second season is in her heart.”
Throughout the comics, the character of Kilgrave is killed several times (drowning, poisoning, neck snapping) and ultimately returns. Has that precedence set the stage for a return to the private investigator’s life? No way to know until Jessica Jones returns to Netflix in 2018.
