Following the release of a sneak peek photo from Jessica Jones Season 2 yesterday, Netflix today announced a release date of March 8, 2018 along with the below teaser trailer.
Season 1 ended with Jones saving New York City from the Hand with some compadres from Marvel’s The Defenders. According to coverage on Entertainment Weekly, star Krysten Ritter noted that the first season was covered a “blip” in her life while the next set of adventures will be even more personal: : “If season 1 was in her head and in her mind,” Ritter said, “then season 2 will be more in her heart.”
The following logline accompanied Netflix announcement earlier today:
New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
Jessica Jones also stars Carrie Anne Moss (The Matrix Trilogy) and Rachael Taylor (Transformers). It’s also known that David Tennant will reprise his role as Jones’ former tormenter, Kilgrave, although it’s up for speculation if he’s alive or just a figment of the private eye’s imagination.
