Nuyorican Prods has signed a deal with Universal TV for new reality projects.
According to Deadline, Universal Television is working on new projects with Jennifer Lopez’s Nuyorican Prods. In addition, Priscilla Porianda has been named Head of Development after joining Nuyorican last year. Jennifer Lopez said about Porianda: “She will work closely with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and I in expanding our brand into scripted and unscripted television. Our goal at Nuyorican has always been to create edgy, timely and relevant programming.”
The company is working with ABC for the second season of The Fosters, a drama about a lesbian couple raising children. Besides The Fosters, Nuyorican has the reality series South Beach Tow, which is entering its third season on TruTV.
