The Morning Show first premiered in 2019 on Apple TV+ and has been a hit ever since. The third season will be released in the fall of this year. The series was created by Jay Carson (House of Cards, The Front Runner) who used to work in both domestic and international politics.
The Morning Show revolves around news co-anchor Alex Levy, played by Jennifer Aniston (Friends, Just Go With It), and her team’s experience with hosting a broadcast news program. The series gives the audience insight into the television and journalism industries.
The third season will be picking up right where the second season ended, which shows the characters in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other stars of the show include Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde, Big Little Lies) as Bradley Jackson, Billy Crudup (Almost Famous, Watchmen) as Cory Ellison, Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife, ER) as Laura Peterson, Steve Carrell (The Office, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) as Mitch Kessler, Desean K. Terry (Scorpion, Room 104) as Daniel Henderson, and more.
According to Deadline, Aniston spoke about the third season during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She stated, “Everybody has a secret. We’re revealing a lot of secrets. There’s definitely romance.”
Aniston continued, “Mr. Jon Hamm is a big one. We were very excited to get him. Isn’t he the nicest guy? He’s this very handsome leading man…”
As noted in The Hollywood Reporter back in 2022, Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Top Gun: Maverick) joined the cast of The Morning Show. He will be playing a new character named Paul Marks, who is described as a “corporate titan.”
Additionally, Deadline explained how the series has already been renewed for a fourth season, even though the third season has not come out yet.
With Aniston’s words in mind, fans can look forward to soon seeing new characters, budding romances, and the reveal of secrets in the third season of The Morning Show.
