Emmy-winner Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom) is slated to star in Netflix’s upcoming limited series based on Tom Wolfe’s (The Lost Man) 1998 best-selling novel A Man in Full, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series will be adapted into a series by David E. Kelley (Anatomy of a Scandal), who will executive produce alongside Regina King (Watchmen).
The series follows Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croke, played by Daniels, who is facing bankruptcy and must defend his empire against political and economic issues. The six-episode limited series will mark King’s first-look deal with Netflix through her production company Royal Ties. Matthew Tinker (Big Little Lies) will also executive produce the series alongside King and Kelley.
Daniels previously won an Emmy in 2013 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Will McAvoy in HBO’s The Newsroom. He won his second Emmy in 2018 for his role in Netflix’s Godless, and another nomination in 2018 for his performance in Hulu’s The Looming Tower. Daniels also recently reprised his role as Atticus Finch in Broadway’s production of To Kill a Mockingbird.
