James Marsden Will Return To Host ‘Jury Duty: Company Retreat’ Reunion Special

Prime Video announced in a press release earlier today that two bonus episodes of their critically acclaimed hit comedy series Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat would debut on April 10 worldwide in more than 240 countries and territories. James Marsden (Hairspray, 27 Dresses) from the first season will moderate the cast reunion special, which will feature a meetup between the season one and two non-actors/heros Ronald Gladden and Anthony Norman, respectively.

The details for the bonus episodes are as follows:

The Reunion: “Anthony and the entire cast come together for a special celebration. Hosted by the inimitable James Marsden, this gathering offers viewers an intimate look at the cast’s reflections on their production experience while also treating audiences to never-before-seen footage from the show.”

The Meeting: “Anthony Norman and Ronald Gladden, the heroes of Jury Duty and Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, meet at a Los Angeles coffee shop for a candid conversation about their unique shared experience. As the only two people to have lived through this social experiment, they exchange personal stories and perspectives on how the experience has impacted their lives.”

Additionally, Prime Video subscribers will have access to newly recorded audio commentary across all eight season two episodes, featuring running commentary reflecting on the making of the series from cast members Alex Bonifer (Kevin Can F**k Himself, The Misadventures of Vince and Hick), Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur (The Good Place, Space Force), Stephanie Hodge (NCIS, Evolution), Rachel Kaly (Worried, Universal Basic Guys), Anthony Norman (Mare of Easttown, Happy’s Place), and Emily Pendergast (Veep, We’re Doing Good).

Prime Video documentary-style comedy series Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, via the series press site, follows a corporate offsite event at a family-owned hot sauce company from the view of recently hired temp-worker Anthony. However, unbeknownst to Anthony, the entire experience is staged, with each of his “colleagues’ performing a role and each captured moment meticulously orchestrated. As the company’s founder prepares to step down, the getaway becomes a class between big corporate ambition and small business values, with control of the company hanging in the balance.

The first season, Jury Duty, followed a similar format, with non-actor Ronald Gladden attending a false court case proceeding as a member of the jury. mxdwn has previously reported on the second season, including its initial trailer release in February.

Ensemble cast of this second season includes Blair Beeken (Pluribus, Black Monday), Bonifer, Wendy Braun (Atypical, This Is Us), Warren Burke (Family Reunion, Dead for a Dollar), Saint-Fleur, LaNisa Renee Frederick (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Mom), Jerry Hauck (Paradise, Merry Happy Whatever), Erica Hernandez (True Lies, Brittany Runs a Marathon), Hodge, Kaly, Rob Lathan (Fear Town, USA, Inside Amy Schumer), Pendergast, Ryan Perez (Necropolis: The Lords of Synth, iSteve), and Jim A. Woods (Superstore, The Office).

Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat is executive produced by David Bernad (The White Lotus, Uncharted), Lee Eisenberg (Little America, Lessons in Chemistry), Ruben Fleisher (Zombieland, Venom), Nicholas Hatton (Who Is America?, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), Anthony King (The Afterparty, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp), Chris Kula (Wrecked, Star Trek: Lower Decks), Marsden, Todd Schulman (The Chair Company, Borat), Gene Stupnitsky (Hello Ladies, No Hard Feelings), and Jake Szymanski (The Package, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates). Szymanski is also credited as director, with Stupnitsky and Eisenberg as creators.

All episodes of seasons one and two are currently available for streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
