After many successful years under the FX banner, the cast members of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia have begun to branch out and star in or develop their separate projects. Whether its Glenn Howerton as the lead in A.P. Bio or Kaitlin Olson in The Mick, the group of unconventional characters have found success in their own respective paths that coincide with the long-running irreverent sitcom. The sitcom’s creator, Rob McElhenney, has found a new home for his creative mind on Apple’s new streaming service, Apple TV+, with his friend and frequent collaborator in Charlie Day.
The new show called Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet debuted on Friday, February 7th and has provided the new streaming services’ platform with a fusion of classic McElhenney humor which his fans have come to love and an office space environment. The series surrounds the gaming industry during the creation process of their new blockbuster video game as McElhenney acts as the game’s director. The show displays a cast of familiar recurring actors, such as David Hornsby, in past collaborations of McElHenney and Day. Another familiar face in this new series includes Ashly Burch, a frequent voice actor in various video games such as Horizon: Zero Dawn, as well as Life is Strange.
