The latest rumors coming from Comicbook say that actress Isabelle Fuhrman (The Hunger Games, Orphan) has joined the cast of Marvel’s Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The website Parade was the first to include Fuhrman in the cast when they published an explainer about the WandaVision spinoff and mentioned she was joining the series in an undisclosed role. According to Comicbook, Marvel hasn’t confirmed or denied the rumors of the casting of Fuhrman.
If the rumors turn out to be true, Fuhrman will be joining Kathryn Hahn (Transparent, Bad Moms), male lead Joe Locke (Heartstopper), Aubrey Plaza (White Lotus, Spin Me Round), Ali Ahn (Raising Dion, Next), Maria Dizzia (The Good Nurse, The Staircase), Sasheer Zamata (Home Economics, Woke), Patti Lupone (American Horror Story, The School for Good and Evil), Debra Jo Rupp (That ‘70s Show, The Ranch), and Emma Caulfield Ford (Once Upon a Time, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Most of the roles have remained undisclosed except the actresses like Hahn, Caulfield, and Jo Rupp that are reprising their roles from WandaVision where they played Agatha Harkness, Dottie, and Mrs. Hart respectively.
The details regarding most of the cast members’ characters are being kept mostly under wraps but there are rumors that Locke and Plaza will be playing villains in the show while Ahn and Dizza are rumored to be playing witches. There is also some speculation that Broadway actress Lupone will also be playing a witch.
Recently, Hahn had an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she talked about how little she was allowed to reveal about the show. She also mentioned how Marvel Studios have the larger plot details heavily guarded. But, filming on the series is set to start soon which could mean that the audience will get a little more insight into the plot of the show and the characters that are set to appear.
Elizabeth Olsen (Sorry for Your Loss, Godzilla), who played Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has been asked countless times about her return to the MCU. Since the witch Agatha Harkness first appeared on her show WandaVision, it is very likely that if Wanda was to return to the Marvel Universe, it would be in this show. Marvel hasn’t released any news regarding the return of Wanda, so, at the moment, she is still out of the MCU.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos is set to premiere in the Winter of 2023. All episodes of WandaVision are available to watch on Disney+.
