Kiernan Shipka (Red One, Totally Killer), who plays Hayley Clay in Industry, became closer than most would expect with her co-stars. Hayley is clearly more than we thought she was. TVLine reports that in the latest episode Henry was falling into depression and goes to help Tender rule the world, but his girlfriend had a better idea to get him out of depression. Her and Hayley’s assistant stops by to drop off papers and it goes into the wildest threesome ever! While the show doesn’t show any nudity, it does leave a lot to the mind, in the good way.
Fans have suspicion that Hayley has some other motive to do the threesome with her boss and his wife. The actress also agrees on that feeling.
“I think she definitely does,” Shipka announses in an interview to TVLine. “I think that Yasmin thinks that she’s in full control in that scene, and I think that’s so fun because Hayley is playing someone else. She’s playing a role in that scene and I think it speaks to some really interesting dynamics that are held within sex and within power. It’s a loaded scene for all three characters. All three characters have very specific journeys in that scene, and they’re very kind of separate, even though they’re all there, even though they’re all kind of doing this thing together. It’s, in a way, affecting each of them very differently.”
Shipka makes more hints at the show and the character she plays, by saying, “Hayley, in particular, is presenting as someone who is a little bit tipsy and wants to have a fun time and a fun night, and then it becomes an entirely different thing,” she says. “We learned so much about her through that scene.”
TVLine recalls that Hayley was first seen in season four, partying with James Dycker before she knew he was a financial journalist. He was snooping her apartment and she kicked him out of her place telling her boss about the truth. Which makes her a wild card and a mystery for what lies ahead, both females play really unique roles, changing drastically.
