Fans will be getting two HBO series a early this week. A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode 4 and Industry season 4 episode 5 are set to release on Friday instead of their usual Sunday release. The change is likely to avoid conflict with the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Sunday, February 8th.
Industry follows a group of financiers as they navigate London’s and the UK’s world of banking. Harper, played by Myha’la (Modern Love, Premature), and Yasmin, played by Marisa Abela (Black Bag, Barbie) , are in pursuit of a fintech company and must travel around the globe to secure its business. Yasmin’s relationship with CEO Sir Henry Muck, played by Game Of Thrones star Kit Harrington (Game Of Thrones, Pompei), has pushed beyond the bounds of business. Harper gravitates towards executive Whitney Muck, played by Max Minghella (The Handmaid Tale, The Social Network). Max and Harper’s friendship turns into something that could be perceived as a rivalry as their ambition begins to infringe on their relationship.
A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is set 100 years before the events of Game Of Thrones. Its protagonist, Ser Duncan the Tall, played by Peter Claffey (Bad Sisters, Harry Wild), is a well-meaning, although somewhat obtuse, fledgling knight who must prove himself at the Tourney at Ashford Meadow. A young boy who goes by the name of Egg played by Dexter Sol Ansell (The Midwich Cuckoos, Robin And The Hood) comes into his service as a squire. The series takes place before the events of Robert’s rebellion, so the Targaryens still hold the Iron Throne. Although Dragons no longer wander the lands of Westeros their terror is still burned into the minds of its citizens and Nobels.
Industry, now in its fourth season, has garnered very solid reviews from critics sitting at 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. According to Variety, the season four premiere drew 20 percent more viewers than the previous season’s premiere. The season four premiere totaled approximately 800,000 viewers.
A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms has received positive reviews from critics, sitting at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Some fans have noted the tonal shift from the other two series in the Game Of Thrones universe. The series is much more jovial, akin to A Knight’s Tale. The episodes tend to start with moments of slapstick humor. Although different from the other two series, the tone is book-accurate to the novellas. Series creator Ira Parker has asked fans to be patient, stating, “We’re not throwing a kid out of a window in the very first episode, but just, like, give us a second,” via The Hollywood Reporter.
