The iCarly revival’s run is coming to an end. According to Deadline, the remake of the beloved children’s show will not continue. The revival series debuted 10 years after the original on Nickelodeon. It is not leaving with any hard feelings, as those working on the show want to emphasize to fans that the series has delivered the ending that they feel wraps up the series in a perfect bow.
“The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together,” a Paramount+ spokesperson said to Deadline. “We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors, and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity, and talent.”
The iCarly revival starred Miranda Cosgrove (School of Rock), Nathan Kress (Into the Storm), and Jerry Trainor (Drake and Josh) from the original series as their original characters, along with Laci Mosley (Florida Girls) and Jaidyn Triplett (A Kid From Southside) who joined the cast for the revival. It centered around the characters of iCarly as they are going through the growing pains of adulthood, such as family, work, and the ever-so-challenging concept of love. It was derived from the original series on Nickelodeon that ran from 2007-2012 which starred Cosgrove, Kress, Trainor, and Jenette McCurdy (Sam and Cat). The original iCarly series followed this group of friends as they hosted and created their own web series of the same title. They dealt with high school drama, comedic adventures, and the ups and downs of producing a series. This series was a smash hit, as it became a favorite not only among the target audience of children’s TV but also among teens and young adults as it consistently broke viewership records across the board.
The full three seasons of the iCarly revival are available to stream on Paramount+.
