The first trailer for Hulu’s upcoming drama series Nine Perfect Strangers debuted Sunday, according to Variety. The series is executive produced by Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies) and stars Regina Hall (Girls Trip), Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Tiffany Boone (The Midnight Sky, The Chi), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Melvin Gregg (Snowfall), Grace Van Patten (Tramps), Asher Keddie (Offspring), Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), and Bobby Cannavale (Thunder Force).
Nine Perfect Strangers follows nine stressed individuals who attend a health-and-wellness spa that promotes a healthier lifestyle via rejuvenation. Kidman plays Masha, the director of the resort. Kidman previously starred in HBO’s award-winning drama Big Little Lies alongside Reese Witherspoon (The Morning Show), Shailene Woodley (Endings, Beginnings), Laura Dern (Marriage Story), and Zoe Kravitz (High Fidelity). In fact, Nine Perfect Strangers reunites a portion of the crew from Big Little Lies, including executive producer Bruna Papandrea (The Dry) and David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal).
Nine Perfect Strangers was given a green light from Hulu in May 2019 and is slated to debut later this year. The show was filmed under strict COVID-19 safety protocols while in production in Australia. The trailer below is the first look at Hulu’s newest drama series.
