Comic Book has reported that Hulu’s upcoming King of the Hill revival, which will be available later this summer, has released its first full clip that gives a look at Nancy-Hicks Gibble that may give insights into her storyline. The show will take a leap into the future from the last episode aired, with over a decade of time having lapsed.
As per Comic Book, the series has been slowly revealing promotional material to give fans insights into the changes that have occurred during the time jump. Many of the cast’s looks have already been revealed, yet in the new full clip, fans finally get a look at what Nancy will look like all these years later, and speculation is already rising.
In the clip above, the cast is seen visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Hank is like a kid in a candy store, giving background stories about the displays, leaving the tour guide with little work to do. The rest of the gang isn’t as excited about historical artifacts as Peggy teases, “A baseball and a pen? Maybe there’s a letter opener I can kill myself with?” To which Nancy replies, “Don’t you dare kill yourself and leave me here, Peggy Hill!”
Comic Book goes on to speculate that the real reveal here may be in a deeper analysis of Nancy’s new look. They claim that her hairstyle in the trailer may allude to the fact that she may not have gone back to John Redcorn, and very well may have stayed faithful to Dale during the time jump. During the original series, Nancy and Redcorn’s extramarital affair was a recurring theme. In an old episode of the show, Nancy starts realizing she may be balding, leading to her mother giving her the insidious advice that if she continues to cheat, it could keep her from having to wear a wig. This leads to the theory that her new hairstyle is a tell that she has decided to give up on her side piece. King of the Hill will premiere on Hulu on August 4th.
