Exciting news for fans of the hit series The Bear starring Jeremy Allen White (Bad Turn Worse, Shameless) – season four of the hit culinary dramedy has announced their premiere date for June 25, 2025, as announced via TVline. With 10 episodes planned to drop at once as the previous seasons had before, fans can look forward to binging their favorite series once again.
The series will continue to follow White’s character Carmy Berzatto, as he works to change his late brother’s sandwich shop in Chicago into a fine dining restaurant. Season four comes back after season three left fans on a cliffhanger, following a critical review on the restaurant and what would become of its fate. With Carmy’s determination, season four will show his determination to push forward and make his brother’s restaurant a success. Via TVLine, the series will also continue from where it left off following Carmy’s relationships with his kitchen staff Richie, who is played by actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Avengers: Secret Wars, Gods Behaving Badly), Ayo Edebiri (Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between, Cicada) who plays as Sydney, and Claire who is played by Molly Gordon (Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie, You People).
Compared with the previous season, which had a more dramatic narrative that left unanswered questions about the restaurant’s future, season four promises to bring in a more uplifting storyline as White and his restaurant crew begin to navigate their way into success. Most notably, according to TVLine, there will be personal and emotional growth for the characters. Showrunner Joanna Calo (BoJack Horseman, Thunderbolts) has further described the upcoming season to be a joyful one, with fans questioning if this was possibly leading to a series finale.
In 2022, according to TVLine, The Bear became an award show favorite, winning an Emmy for best comedy series during its start at season one. Doing even better on season two, the series took home 11 Emmy awards, making a record for the most awards given to a comedy series in one year.
With the show’s immense success, it is unclear yet as to whether Calo will open up the floor for a fifth season, but considering its fanbase has continued to grow, fans are hopeful the show will continue on after the fourth season commences.
