The upcoming Marvel Studios streaming series for Hulu, Helstrom, has released its first-look trailer, according to Yahoo. The ten-episode comic book action drama series is set to premiere on the streaming platform on October 16 and will consist of 10 episodes. Helstrom is a part of the numerous Marvel upcoming television projects which include Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Loki, and WandaVision, the latter of which released its first trailer during the 72nd Emmy Awards on Sunday. However, due to the Hulu series not being on the Disney streaming service, it is currently unknown how the series will be integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Created by Paul Zybyszewski (Lost, After the Sunset), the drama series is based on the Marvel comic book characters in Daimon and Satana Hellstrom, a pair of siblings who had a serial killer for a parent. The two siblings in Helstrom will be Daimon, portrayed by Tom Austen (The Royals), and Ana Helstrom, portrayed by Sydney Lemmon (Fear the Walking Dead, Succession). The siblings will seek out the evils that exist in the human world and uncover and hunt down these discoveries in their grimy, fantasy world.
Additional cast includes the likes of Robert Wisdom (The Wire, Prison Break), Elizabeth Marvel (Fargo, Homeland), June Carryl (Mindhunter), Alain Uy (True Detective, The Morning Show), Ariana Guerra (Candy Jar), and recurring cast members of David Meunier (Justified) and Daniel Cudmore (X-Men: The Last Stand).
