Reported exclusively by Deadline, CBS is creating a spinoff of How I Met Your Mother.
CBS has been talking with a HIMYM producer on creating a spinoff that would look at the female perspective of the original show. The show, referred to as How I Met Your Father, comes from How I Met Your Mother creators/executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as well as Up All Night creator/exec producer Emily Spivey.
The spinoff would chronicle the life of a female and her New York friends as she searches for her future husband.
There are rumors that the spinoff will be introduced at the end of How I Met Your Mother and will include Malaren’s Pub.
How I Met Your Mother airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
