The American medical drama House has found a new streaming home. The series, which ran from 2004-2012, already features its eight seasons on Prime Video and Peacock. According to Screenrant, the 177 episodes are also currently available for Hulu members to binge as of recently.
House, starring Hugh Laurie (Stuart Little), follows Doctor Gregory House as in each episode he works through solving health mysteries. House is known to have an unconventional way of doing his work. The series is scattered with Sherlock Holmes references as creator David Shore (The Good Doctor) is a huge fan, and bases House’s character on the fictional detective. Via Screenrant, the similarities between House and Holmes include, drug addiction, antisociality, and of course, mystery solving.
House has been nominated for over twenty Emmys, winning five. Two of their five Emmys went to writer Shore and director Greg Yaitanes (Double Tap). The cast of the award winning show includes Robert Sean Leonard (Dead Poets Society) as Doctor James Wilson, Lisa Edelstein (9-1-1: Lone Star) as Doctor Lisa Cuddy, Jesse Spencer (Chicago Fire) as Doctor Robert Chase, Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon a Time) as Doctor Allison Cameron, Omar Epps (Juice) as Doctor Eric Foreman, and more.
House joins over 1,300 other television shows available for streaming on Hulu. The series initially aired on FOX and was among the top ten series in the US from its second to fourth season. By the time the eighth season aired, viewership numbers dropped, and many fans wondered if that was the reason the show was canceled. It was later revealed Laurie, Shore, and executive producers agreed on the ending of the show to keep up the appeal of Doctor House.
Fans of the comedic mystery medical drama with a Hulu subscription, are able to stream House now.
