According to Screen Rant, in new Twitter post, House of the Dragon actor Abubakar Salim (Raised by Wolves, Jamestown), who plays Alyn of Hull, the illegitimate son of Corlys Velaryon, teases his role in an iconic battle. His post features an image of himself wearing full armor and bearing the Velaryon sigil.
Salim captioned the post with the word “Yup” along with a fist, wave, and anchor emoji, perhaps a nod to Alyn’s earned nickname, Alyn Oakenfist, according to Screen Rant. Alyn’s donning of the Velaryon sigil could be a sign that he remains loyal to House Velaryon despite his refusal to acknowledge his parentage and all that comes with it.
Salim’s post indicates that, according to Screen Rant, season three of House of the Dragon will feature the Battle of the Gullet, a massive naval battle involving scores of ships, countless deaths, and multiple dragons as the battle between the Blacks and the Greens heats up. Alyn, who was introduced in season two, episode one, “A Son for a Son,” is poised to make a name for himself in this epic battle.
With King Aegon fleeing King’s Landing as the Blacks make a move on the city, and Prince Aemond and the Greens poised for a naval battle with House Velaryon, the third season is sure to bring more intense, exciting, and action-packed moments than the previous two seasons.
According to Screen Rant, House of the Dragon seasons one and two skipped many of the iconic battles featured in George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, so the possible inclusion of such a large-scale battle in season three is exciting.
Production on season three of House of the Dragon began at the end of March, and there is currently no release date in place for the third season.
