Zachery Ty Bryan (Burn Notice) has again been arrested in the state of Oregon for alleged domestic violence. According to Deadline, TMZ reports, Bryan was arrested Friday by police as he allegedly violated the Abuse Prevention Act. This act allows action to be taken when someone violates a restraining order set by the victim of a previous domestic violence case with the same abuser. As of this Sunday, this report was allegedly confirmed by TMZ.
Zachery Ty Bryan grew up with his face all over America’s television screens as he played Brad Taylor, the son of Tim Allen (Last Man Standing) on the show Home Improvement. Bryan’s character on the show was known for his experimental hairstyles and troubling-making ways, at one point having an encounter with the police. According to Deadline, in 2021, “He was arrested and booked into the Lane County Jail and initially charged with harassment, coercion, strangulation, interference with making a report and second counts of menacing and assault in the fourth degree. Those charges were dismissed in return for his two-count guilty plea.” Bryan’s domestic violence charge two years ago involved his fiancee, although it is unconfirmed if the alleged incident he was arrested for this past weekend involves the same woman. Bryan pleaded guilty in 2021 to two felony counts in his domestic violence case. He was sentenced to probation for three years, and mandated participation in a batterer-intervention program. Bryan was not at the scene of the alleged incident, but was later tracked down by police, and as of Sunday, remains in custody.
Bryan, the father of seven, commented on the domestic violence incident that occurred in 2020, stating things were blown out of proportion and his townhome had thin walls, which led to neighbors hearing screaming. Details on what is to come for Bryan, such as a court date, or how long he will remain in jail since his arrest Sunday is yet to be announced.
