Ray Donovan’s outstanding ratings have paid off: with just three episodes, the freshman drama has been renewed for a second season.
“Ray Donovan is on track to be our biggest Season 1 show ever,” Showtime president David Nevins has stated, expressing that the network is “proud and excited to pick up another season” (via IGN).
The new drama series made headlines when it became Showtime’s most-watched original series premiere ever. Its ratings also improved in its second week, a first for the network.
The series’ twelve-episode first season will conclude its run on September 22. There has been no word yet on when the second season will air.
