Unlike the first two seasons, the third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will leave East High of Salt Lake City and relocate itself to an outdoor setting in Los Angeles. Instead of high school hallways and classrooms, the Wildcats will continue their stories surrounding sunshine, campfire, and summer romances. Tim Federle, the creator and executive producer of the series, stated that “We are overjoyed to be heading to the great outdoors for season three, and grateful to our partners and friends at Disney+ for their continued support of our next-generation Wildcats”. Prior to High School Musical, he had written the screenplay for the animated film Ferdinand(2017).
The first two seasons are available to stream on Disney Plus. Disney Plus has yet to release cast information for the upcoming season. Fans will have to wait to find out who’s going to camp and who’s not.
