Here’s The First Look At John Noble On ‘Elementary’

In early June, we reported that John Noble would be series regular in the upcoming season of the CBS show, Elementary. Now, Entertainment Weekly has released the first look at John Noble in his new role for the show.

The drama stars Johnny Lee Miller (The Flying Scotsman) as Sherlock and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson (Ally McBeal).

John Noble, who is known for his roles in Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Sleepy Hollow and Fringe, will play Sherlock’s rich and estranged father. John Noble as Morland Holmes, will return to see Sherlock because of Sherlock’s recent relapse in the series.

Executive producer of the show, Rob Doherty, explains that once Noble’s character arrives “Sherlock does not appreciate the attention or the distraction that his dad represents.. For him, it’s too little too late. This is a father and a son with a very complicated history. I’d say for at least a couple decades, Sherlock’s father has been out of sight, out of mind. This is going to be a big adjustment for Sherlock to have dad nearby” (Entertainment Weekly). Doherty also added that they are “delighted to have John Noble taking on such an important role” (Paste Magazine). It will indeed be an exciting season for fans of Elementary and John Noble.
