Today, Warner Bros. Discovery published a media release announcing the premiere date for season three of HBO original drama series Industry: Sunday. The series will premiere on August 11. Just like the first two seasons, the third season will consist of 8 episodes. Industry, co-created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, will be available for viewing on Max.
In this same media release, Warner Bros. Discovery includes the logline for the drama series that reads, “INDUSTRY gives an insider’s view of the blackbox of high finance following a group of young bankers as they forge their identities within the pressure cooker environment and sex and drug fueled blitz of international bank Pierpoint & Co’s London office.”
The release further reveals the narrative for season three, explaining how the financial firm Pierpoint plans to focus on investments that are socially responsible and sustainable. Our trio–Yasmin, Robert and Eric–is heavily involved in the IPO of Lumi, a green tech energy company led by Sir Henry Muck. Harper, who has left Pierpoint, is keen on returning to the thrill of the finance world. She finds a new partnership with Petra Koenig, a portfolio manager at FutureDawn, who introduces a subplot of professional reinvention and new unlikely alliances. Marisa Abela (Barbie, Rogue Agent), Harry Lawtey (You & Me, Joker: Folie à Deux) and Ken Leung (Mising, Avatar: The Last Airbender) will reprise their roles as Yasmin, Robert and Eric, respectively. Additionally, Myha’la (Bodies Bodies Bodies, Plan B) will also be back to reprise her role as Harper. Season three also introduces new stars, such as Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, Eternals) as Sir Henry Muck and Sarah Goldberg (Barry, The Night House) as Petra Keonig.
Warner Bros. Discovery reveals that additional returning cast members will include Conor MacNeill (The Tourist), Sagar Radia (The Good Karma Hospital), Indy Lewis (La Fortuna), Adam Levy (A.D.: The Bible Continues), Sarah Parish (Stay Close), Trevor White (Doctor Who), Elena Saurel (The Batman) and Irfan Shamji (Murder on the Orient Express). New cast members will include Miriam Petche (The Worst Witch) as Sweetpea Golightly, Andrew Cavill as Lord Norton, Roger Barclay (The Undertaker) as Otto Mostyn, Fady Elsayed (Class) as Ali El Mansour and Fiona Button (The Split) as Denise Oldroyd.
Down and Kay are credited by Warner Bros. Discovery as co-creators, directors, writers,and executive producers of Industry. The series is produced by Bad Wolf for HBO and BBC, with executive production by Jane Tranter, Kate Crowther and Ryan Rasmussen for Bad Wolf, and Rebecca Ferguson for BBC. Directors include Isabella Eklöf and Zoé Wittock.
