Laurence Fishburne could play the role of Socrates Fortlow, the same role he played fifteen years ago on HBO’s Always Outnumbered.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it is confirmed that Fishburne is set to produce and star in a drama following Socrates Fortlow.The drama titled, The Right Mistake, is based on a series of novels by Walter Mosley and will continue Fortlow’s story, a man’s journey to redemption after 27 years behind bars.
Mosley will write alongside Patrick Charles. Executive producers will Fishburne, Mosley, Helen Sugland, Tom Russo and Diane Houslin. Charles will co-executive produce. The drama is under Fishburne’s Cinema Gypsy Prods and Fox Television Studios.
Fishburne currently appears in Hannibal on NBC.
