HBO is gearing up for the return of their critically acclaimed series Industry by releasing the official trailer to tease what’s to come in season three. According to mxdwn, Industry previewed the first episode of its third season at the 2024 ATX TV Festival and will officially return to Max on Sunday, August 11, at 9:00 p.m. ET/10:00 p.m. PT.
According to the Warner Bros. Discovery press release, “Industry gives an insider’s view of the blackbox of high finance following group of young bankers as they forge their identities within the pressure cooker environment and sex and drug fueled blitz of international bank Pierpoint & Co’s London office.” The series examines corporate culture within Pierpoint & Co. as the newly graduated characters are forced to navigate themselves to the best advantage. The audience “[enters] the world through the eyes of graduate Harper Stern, a New York native and outsider played by Myha’la Herrold (Modern Love, Premature)” via mxdwn.
As for the direction of Industry’s newest season, the press release stated that “In season three, as Pierpoint looks to the future and takes a big bet on ethical investing, Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey), and Eric (Ken Leung) find themselves front and center in the splashy IPO of Lumi, a green tech energy company led by Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington), in a story that runs all the way to the very top of finance, media, and government. Since leaving Pierpoint, Harper (Myha’la) is eager to get back into the addictive thrill of finance and finds an unlikely partner in FutureDawn portfolio manager Petra Koenig (Sarah Goldberg).”
Returning cast members are Harry Lawtey (The Pale Blue Eye, You & Me), Myha’la (Modern Love, Premature), Ken Leung (Old, Lost), Marisa Abela (Cobra, She Is Love), Indy Lewis (La Fortuna, Say No), Conor MacNeill (The Tourist, The Sixth Commandment), Sarah Parish (The Wedding Date, The Holiday), Sagar Radia (The Good Karma Hospital, Unicorns), Elena Saurel (The Batman, Buffering), Adam Levy (The Witcher, Snatch), Trevor White (Downton Abbey, Doctor Who) and Irfan Shamji (Red Joan, Murder on the Orient Express) via the press release.
Additionally, as per the press release, new members joining the cast are Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, Eternals), Miriam Petche (The Worst Witch, Zombies Next Door), Sarah Goldberg (Barry, The Night House), Roger Barclay (The Snowman, The Undertaker), Fady Elsayed (My Brother the Devil, Class), Andrew Havill (Downton Abbey, The King) and Fiona Button (The Split, Truelove).
