

According to an HBO Max press release, the Emmy-winning medical drama The Pitt, from John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television, has been renewed for a third season. Created by R. Scott Gemmill and starring Noah Wyle, the series follows the intense, high-stakes world of frontline healthcare workers. The renewal was announced ahead of the series’ season two premiere on Thursday, January 8, at 9 p.m. ET.
The Pitt explores the challenges facing healthcare professionals in modern America through the lens of a busy Pittsburgh hospital, balancing medical emergencies with deeply personal stories. According to the HBO Max press release, the series continues to highlight the human side of medicine while portraying the dedication and resilience of its staff.
The second season features returning and new cast members including Wyle (Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch), Patrick Ball (Dr. Langdon), Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), and Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi), according to the press release.
Produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. The third-season renewal follows The Pitt’s strong awards-season run, earning Best Drama Series at last year’s Emmys and this month’s Critics’ Choice Awards, and acting wins for both Wyle and LaNasa.
