Cast and creatives from the Emmy-winning medical drama The Pitt teamed up with HBO Max to recognize healthcare professionals at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center with a full-day wellness experience on January 21. The special on-site event was designed to give hospital staff a moment of rest and appreciation, while also offering them an exclusive advance screening of The Pitt season two, episode three. Throughout the day, various areas of the hospital were transformed into thoughtfully curated relaxation spaces, featuring premium self-care experiences intended to restore and uplift frontline workers, as outlined by HBO Max press release.
According to HBO Max press release, Volvo Car USA, FIGS, and Hyperice supported the wellness activation by contributing to the creation of an elevated and restorative environment for attendees. Healthcare professionals enjoyed on-location massages, refreshment stations, and gifting suites stocked with premium wellness items. Volvo Car USA introduced a unique vehicle offer that is available only to UCLA healthcare professionals who were present at the event. According to HBO Max press release, after a day filled with relaxation and gratitude, staff were ushered into a tailored red-carpet experience featuring step-and-repeat photo ops and VIP treatment prior to the advance episode screening.
As noted by HBO Max press release, following the screening, the evening took a memorable turn with surprise appearances from several members of The Pitt cast, who joined attendees for an intimate fireside chat. Participating cast members included Patrick Ball (Law & Order, The Night Agent), Katherine LaNasa (Truth Be Told, Dynasty), Fiona Dourif (Chucky, The Blacklist), Taylor Dearden (Sweet/Vicious, American Vandal), Isa Briones (Star Trek: Picard, Goosebumps), and Gerran Howell (Catch-22, Young Dracula). During the conversation, the cast reflected on the series and expressed their appreciation for healthcare workers, creating a meaningful and personal connection between the show and the real-life professionals it honors.
