Hazbin Hotel turned up the heat in New York City last weekend with dazzling Hazbin Hotel: Live On Broadway celebration ahead of the animated musical’s highly anticipated second season on Prime Video. The October 20 event at the InterContinental Times Square and the Majestic Theatre treated fans to a red-carpet arrival, a special screening of the new episodes, and a live concert featuring the show’s cast performing songs from across both seasons.

As stated by Prime Video, the adult animated series, created by Vivienne Medrano (Helluva Boss, ZooPhobia), follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she sets out to reform demons and bring peace to her chaotic realm. After her victory against Heaven’s forces in Season One, Charlie finds herself dealing with new challenges as the hotel gains notoriety  and unwanted attention  from powerful overlords known as “The Vees.”

According to Prime Video, season two of Hazbin Hotel will debut on October 29, with two new episodes released each week through November 19. The upcoming installment will continue to explore the complex politics of Hell and Heaven while introducing new characters and original songs. Returning voices include Erika Henningsen (Mean Girls, Girls5eva) as Charlie, Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Encanto) as Vaggie, Blake Roman (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Central Park) as Angel Dust, and Christian Borle (Smash, Some Like It Hot) as the Radio Demon.

Hazbin Hotel is produced by A24 (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Euphoria) and Bento Box Entertainment (Bob’s Burgers, The Great North), with Medrano directing every episode. Executive producers include Dana Tafoya-Cameron and Brett Coker, alongside Medrano

As Prime Video’s official synopsis describes: “Following Charlie’s victory against Heaven’s army, the hotel is booming with new residents… As resentment against Heaven brews and sinners realise they can fight back, there are plenty of sinners looking to capitalise on the growing tensions.”

According to Prime Video, the broadway-style event concluded with a concert spotlighting performers Jessica Vosk (Wicked, Becoming Nancy), Lilli Cooper (Spring Awakening, Tootsie), Jeremy Jordan (Smash, Newsies), Krystina Alabado (Mean Girls, American Psycho), Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is the New Black, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and Amir Talai (Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, What to Expect When You’re Expecting), who brought the show’s beloved songs to life in front of fans and industry guests.

Season Two of Hazbin Hotel will be available to stream worldwide beginning October 29 on Prime Video.
