Grace Park (who starred in Hawaii Five-0) will be one of the leads in ABC’s A Million Little Things. The news comes nearly a year after leaving Hawaii Five-0 because of a salary dispute. This will be her first regular season role since she was with on the CBS reboot for seven seasons. Her character is Katherine, who was originally Anne Son in the pilot. Park will be joining: David Giuntoli, Ron Livingston, Romany Malco, James Roday, Allison Miller, Christina Moses, Christina Ochoa, Stephanie Szostak, and Lizzy Greene.
A Million Little Things has been written by DJ Nash. The series is an hour long drama which focuses on a group of friends. They are all stuck together for different reasons and in different ways; however, once a friend of theirs dies unexpectedly, it provides a wake-up call for the rest of the group that they need to start living. As they go through this experience and attempt to start living their lives, they realize that one thing that can save them is each other.
Park’s character deals a working mother. She has to balance being the parent that she wants to be and her successful legal career. She has to deal with the aggravating feeling that to be good at one means she must sacrifice a bit of the other. Her husband Eddie (Giuntoli) was a popular musician when she first married him; however, she is now the main provider for the family.
Executive producers for the series will be Nash, Aaron Kaplan, and Dana Honor. James Griffiths will direct the pilot and will be an executive producer.
A premiere date has not been announced as of yet, but A Million Little Things will start airing on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
