The F Word, which we all hope and assume is “Food,” (though no one would put it past Ramsay to throw in a few choice expletives when the situation calls for them) will premiere May 31 at 9 PM on Fox, per The Hollywood Reporter. Don’t worry though, The F Word is a family show, so like on MasterChef Junior Ramsay will not be yelling… as much… probably. The premiere of The F Word comes right after MasterChef which will air the first episode of Season 8 on Wednesday May 31 from 8:00 – 9:00 PM PT.
The F Word With Gordon Ramsay has been on air before in the U.K. from 2005 to 2010. The show engages culinary families from across the United States in a live cooking challenge where they attempt to please guest judges and audiences, but mostly Gordon Ramsay. Shows will be one hour long each week, and include more informational segments to inform audiences about the world of food.
We have seen many sides of Gordon Ramsay; from patient instruction, to biting criticism, comforting youth, and that oh-so-sought-after praise. On The F Word, we will get to see Gordon Ramsay live. Ramsay’s other shows including Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, MasterChef Jr. and Hotel Hell which are on air now and past shows like Kitchen Nightmares and Breakfast, did not have the live reality element that The F Word will have. The F Word is also unique because it is the first project undertaken by Gordon Ramsay’s own Studio Ramsay. This new show is part of Fox’s push to include more live variety shows, and Gordon Ramsay’s long standing relationship and current two-year deal with the network.
Also on the slate for Gordon Ramsay’s 2017 schedule are two new ITV programs; one untitled show, and a part-time hosting gig on Culinary Genius.
