Bloody hell!
It looks like dashing chef Gordon Ramsay is getting his own platform to cook up new television show ideas.
It was confirmed by Variety that the celebrity chef would be partnering with All3Media to create Studio Ramsay. Studio Ramsay will be focused on developing and producing new content for both scripted and unscripted programs.
Working together since 2010, Ramsay and All3Media are well acquainted with each other. Ramsay was previously connected to the UK production company Optomen under the One Potato Two Potato banner before All3Media purchased the unscripted production company.
Studio Ramsay will be an independent company completely owned by the savvy chef. The studio will focus on creating new material for programs centered around “food-related themes.”
Ramsay has been successful in both the UK and the US with programs such as Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Masterchef, Masterchef Jr., and Hotel Hell. In 2015, Ramsay celebrated his 500th episode airing on Fox Network, as well as his 10th anniversary on Hell’s Kitchen.
When asked about Studio Ramsay, CEO of All3Media, Jane Turton said,
“We really look forward to continuing our relationship with Gordon, working alongside him as he establishes and grows his new production company, Studio Ramsay. He is a world class talent with a phenomenal record of hit TV series.”
Business man and chef extraordinaire, it seems like everything Ramsay touches turns to gold. Oftentimes, on top of the shows he’s in, it’s his personality that seems to keep fans coming back. Chef Ramsay can be a loud, intimidating, demanding man that yells at anyone who looks at chicken wrong but he can also be a funny, caring guy who really just wants people to work their hardest and show their talent. It’s hard to imagine a Gordon Ramsay show without his signature yelling or cursing at the incompetence of others.
Studio Ramsay will “work towards developing new talent around the world”. When speaking about this new exploit, Ramsay said,
“I’m really excited about this new venture, giving our team the opportunity to expand creatively on a global scale.”
Hopefully this can be loosely translated to more cursing and explosive situations. Congrats Gordon, we look forward to hearing seeing you!
