Rose Abdoo (Gilmore Girls) has joined the CBS comedy series, Ghosts, for its second season. Per confirmation from TVLine, Abdoo will play Paula, a no-nonsense TV producer of the fictional series “Dumb Deaths” who arrives at the Woodstone Mansion to shoot a production.
On August 19th, Abdoo posted a photo to her Instagram page, chronicling her work on the series. She stated, “I had the best time with this amazing cast & can’t wait to see the new season.”
Ghosts stars Rose McIver (iZombie) as Samantha, Utkarsh Ambudkar (Special) as Jay, Brandon Scott Jones (The Good Place) as Isaac, Danielle Pinnock (Get Shorty) as Alberta. Richie Moriarty (Search Party) co-stars as Pete alongside Asher Grodman (Succession) as Trevor, Sheila Carrasco (Jane the Virgin) as Flower, Devan Chandler Long (Doom Patrol) as Thorfinn, Rebecca Wisocky (Dopesick) as Hetty, and Román Zaragoza (Stumptown) as Sasappis.
Ghosts is adapted from the 2019 British comedy of the same name on BBC One, and is created by co-showrunners Joe Port (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) and Joe Wiseman (Me, Myself and I). The series is executive produced by Port and Wiseman alongside Mathew Baynton (Wonka), Alison Carpenter (Harlots), Simon Farnaby (Detectorists), Academy Award nominee Debra Hayward (Les Misérables), Martha Howe-Douglas (Breeders), Jim Howick (Sex Education), Alison Owen, Lawrence Rickard, Angie Stephenson, and Ben Willbond.
Abdoo’s recent credits include roles in HBO Max’s Hacks, FOX’s Call Me Kat, Peacock’s Saved by the Bell, CBS’s United States of Al, FX’s Better Things, ABC’s Bless This Mess, and Netflix’s Grace and Frankie. She is also set to feature in the second season of Hulu’s How I Met Your Father, and star in the upcoming series, Reboot, on Hulu. Abdoo is also slated to star as Muriel in the upcoming film Something from Tiffany’s from director Daryl Wein (Single Parents).
The second season of Ghosts premieres on CBS on Thursday, September 29th at 8:30 PM EST.
