‘General Hospital’ Pays Tribute To Johnny Wactor In Latest Episode

General Hospital paid tribute to the late actor Johnny Wactor, who recently passed away this past Memorial Day weekend. According to Deadline, in the latest episode of General Hospital, the actor was memorialized in a touching tribute. Wactor passed away earlier this month at the age of 37.

On the latest episode of General Hospital which aired this past Tuesday, a title card that read “In loving memory of Johnny Wactor” appeared on the screen. The text was displayed alongside an image of the late actor. He appeared on the soap opera from the years 2020 to 2022 and portrayed the character of Brando Corbin.

Alongside the on-air tribute, the production team at General Hospital expressed their sorrow and sympathies towards the loss of their actor. They released a statement that states, “The entire General Hospital family is heartbroken to hear of Johnny Wactor’s untimely passing. He was truly one of a kind and a pleasure to work with each and every day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.”

Wactor was killed by a shot to the chest as he was leaving his bartending shift in the area of Downtown Los Angeles. Allegedly, the actor was on his way to his car and was walking with his female co-worker. As he approached his car he noticed that three men were attempting to steal from him. He then approached the thieves asking if he was being towed.

Wactor’s brother Grant recalled the events and described how everything played out. He said to Daily Mail, “He came across them and he thought his truck was being towed. So he said something to the guys, like, ‘Hey, are you towing?’ And then once he turned around, he saw what was happening and he put his coworker behind him. And that’s when they shot him.”

The suspects are reportedly still at large as they have yet to be caught.
