ABC’s ‘General Hospital’ Actor Johnny Wactor’s Murder Results In Four Suspects Arrested

The Los Angeles Police Department stated Thursday afternoon that four individuals have been linked to the case of the killing of Johnny Wactor (General Hospital) via Deadline. Officers said they hosted a search warrant, which led to the arrests of Leonel Gutierrez, Robert Barceleau and Sergio Estrada. Estrada and Barceleau were both born in 2006, and Gutierrez in 2005. All reside in Los Angeles County. Frank Olano was also booked for an arrest warrant as an accessory. Olano was born in 2002 and is a resident of Inglewood. All suspects are under the age of 25, and their bail was set at 2 million dollars.

Evidence was restored in the process via the Los Angeles Police Department’s Bureau of Homicide. Wactor was struck by a firearm and died instantly after facing robbers trying to take his car’s catalytic converter.

“Los Angeles police on Thursday detained multiple suspects in connection with the killing of General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor earlier this year,” an officer informed Deadline.

Multiple search warrants were put in place, and six suspects were taken into confinement.

According to Deadline, Wactor was murdered the morning of May 25 in downtown LA. He was walking to his car with a coworker after a shift bartending and was allegedly shot in an attempt to confront three burglars attempting to take his converter. The suspects allegedly left the scene in a stolen Infiniti Q50, according to the police.

Wactor’s case has been tied to thirteen gang members tied to catalytic converters in the Los Angeles region, as stated by the Los Angeles Times. With the link between the investigations, the LAPD published photographs of the alleged suspects and vehicle.

His passing drove a wave of reaction from the general public. Deadline reports several people attended a rally in June pleading for justice to be served. Joseph Iniguez, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s chief deputy, informed the crowd that many crime departments were working with Bureau homicide detectives on the case. He stated, “We have a number of leads.”

Wactor played Brando Corbin in General Hospital from 2020 to 2022. He was 37 years old.
