‘Gen V’ Season Two Primed For Production

The Boys season four is wrapping up its finale this coming Thursday, but this does not mean that the world of Vought is over, as Gen V has begun production of season two.According to Comicbook, the second season was supposed to begin earlier this year. However, production was put on hold due to the death of Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), who played Andre Anderson. The series creator, Eric Kripke (Timeless), stated that the passing of Perdomo will be something the second season of Gen V will “directly address

“First, it’s just so unbelievably tragic, and my heart goes out to his family,” Kripke shared with TVLine last month. “We’re not trying to replace him because we can’t. We’re playing the character’s death on the show. So it’s very heavy and it’s really emotionally difficult for the cast. And we’re just trying to honor Chance as best we can.”

According to Comicbook, post on the official Gen V X page shows Jan Sinclair (Slender Man), who plays Marie, wearing a Godolkin University crewneck with the caption, “Class is in session.”

According to Comicbook, Kripke explained in an interview with Variety his hopes for the franchise in the future, “I think they can and should continue. The Boys story is about Butcher and Homelander and these two planets crashing into each other and this particular story doesn’t work without both of them. And you can only keep that going for so long,” He continued.“So what I would say is, this particular story is ending, the Butcher-Homelander is ending. But there can be other stories and other corners of the universe. And hopefully, it’s vibrant and perverted enough to allow for those stories. So hopefully, Gen V continues, hopefully, a couple other things we have in development continue.”

While fans await further information regarding the release date of the second season, the entire first season of Gen V and the other four seasons of The Boys will be available this week when the finale drops and can be streamed on Prime Video.
