This past Thursday marked the beginning of FXX’s Every Simpsons Ever marathon. The kickoff to this goofy cartoon fest pulled in the most views of the network’s history; episodes aired at primetime were said to be televised at an average of 1.01 million viewers’ homes.
Although long-time fans of The Simpsons are adults over the age of 20, that does not stop the FX brand from trying to grab the attention of some younger viewers. The new FXNow app made by the network for smartphones will house a Simpsons World section, which is intended to usher the younger crowd. The network is creating this app in order to solidify a future of dedicated Simpson fans.
However, long time fans of the cartoon show will be able to get their Bart-fix until Labor Day. That’s right, FXX ‘s Every Simpsons Ever is far from over!
