In just one week FX will unveil its newest series The Beauty for all to see. The trailer for the series has piqued the interest of the audience prior to the series’ release. According to Deadline, the trailer managed to produce 190 million views across all social media platforms.
For those who don’t know the series is based on the comic book series by Jeremy Haun (The Beauty, The Realm) and Jason A. Hurley (The Beauty, The Apporach) under the same name. According to Deadline, the series is set in a world of high fashion where models are dying in mysterious and gruesome ways. The string of deaths bring the attention of two FBI agents who must uncover the truth and prevent anymore future deaths. As the agents delve deeper into the case they discover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms ordinary people into perfect and beautiful versions of themselves with dire consequences.
According to Deadline, the agents will fall into the crosshairs of a shadowy corporation that has some involvement with the deaths of these models and the physical altercations of the people who have used the “miracle drug.” The series also has some guest cast members that will appear in the series when it premieres.
