FX’s ‘Snowfall’ Casts Antonio Jaramillo As Police Chief Oscar Fuentes; Yvonne Chapman Joins The CW’s ‘Kung Fu’

Antonio Jaramillo (Miguel Zepeda, Shades of Blue) joins FX’s crime drama Snowfall, a show that uncovers the dramatic twists and turns of the cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles according to Deadline. Jaramillo, who had recently played Riz Arisa on Mayans M.C, has been cast on Snowfall’s fourth season as the cunning and well-connected police chief of Tijuana.

His character won’t be your standard boy scout police chief either. Fuentes will be a more practical man, motivated by money instead of morality. According to Deadline, “He’s willing to let Teddy and Gustavo continue to go about their business in Mexico but only if they make it worth his while.” Evidently viewers will get to see what kind of nefarious deeds his character has in store and how it affects the story overall.

On another note Yvonne Chapman (Mina Lee, Street Legal) landed a role on The CW’s Upcoming show Kung Fu as a ruthless and determined assassin named Zhilan. According to Deadline, Zhilan and the protagonist Nicky (Olivia Liang, Alyssa Chang, Legacies) have history. Deadline states, “After stealing an ancient sword from Nicky’s shifu Pei-Ling–and nearly killing Nicky in the process– Zhilan flees China and begins her pursuit of the rest of the mystical weapons.”

Following their conflict viewers will see what potential these weapons have for destruction and how the protagonist Nicky plans to stop Zhilan in her tracks and save humanity from her wrath. Kung Fu is still in development at The CW and projected to launch sometime in 2021 so audience will have to wait a bit longer until they see this action packed adrenaline ride come to life.
