FX continues to be one of the more daring networks on television as the first look at the limited series Fosse/Verdon has been released in the form of a 30-second teaser. Starring Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams, the series features a look into the lives and love affairs of acclaimed filmmaker and choreographer Bob Fosse, as well as the relationship shared between him and Broadway heroine Gwen Verdon. Announced in the summer of 2018, the series is one of the many ambitious and oddly-unique projects to join the network as it continues to highlight lesser-known and far more indie-like dramas that seemed to be reaching higher and higher.
Starring two Academy Award winners is no small feat either, but there will likely be a more mass audience appeal to be found here as the series features Lin-Manuel Miranda and The Americans’ Joel Fields among its producers. The series will also feature well-known stars like Norbert Leo Butz and Margaret Qualley. Remaining under-wraps for most of its production, the relatively bite-sized preview to be had here should come to no surprise, as the series continues to set itself up as a force to be reckoned with when Emmy’s awards roll around. Check out the full teaser and synopsis below:
