The upcoming fifth season of FX’s Better Things is expected to be its last, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The season is currently in production and will premiere in 2022.
Starring Pamela Adlon (King of the Hill), the series follows Sam Fox, a single mother and actress in Los Angeles. Adlon, who co-created, writes, directs, executive produces, and stars in the series has earned two Emmy nominations for her role in the series. Better Things also stars Mikey Madison (Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey), Hannah Allgood, and Olivia Edward (The Outside Story). While Diedrich Bader (Surf’s Up), Alysia Reiner (Egg), and Rebecca Metz (Coop and Cami Ask The World) are among the recurring cast members, Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) will be featured in season five in a guest role.
Adlon reported news of the show’s eventual close in a statement.
