FX Announces The Premiere Date For The Second Season Of Comedy Series ‘Adults’

According to Variety, FX has announced the premiere date for the second season of Adults. The second season of the series will consist of eight episodes and air all at once on FXX on-demand and Hulu at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT on August 27. The series will also be available to stream on Disney+ internationally.

Variety reports the official description of the series follows “a group of twenty-somethings in New York leaning on each other to navigate love, work, friendship and family. Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa and Anton are five friends crashing together in Samir’s childhood home. Created by Ben Kronengold & Rebecca Shaw, the show puts a generational lens on the wins, losses and humiliations of being in your twenties.”

As per Variety, the second season of Adults is described as follows : “What if the 20-year-old who inherited your fake ID is cooler than you ever were, and younger than you’ll ever be again? How do you explain to your friends that you actually love your boring office job? Why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self? And how do you ask for things to change, when you also need everything to stay the same? Together, the friends weave intricate webs of multi-player strategy just to avoid hurting someone else’s feelings. They invent elaborate workarounds for problems they’re too afraid to face head-on. It’s not so much that they keep learning the same lessons – it’s that they keep finding new ways to make mistakes. But the one thing they consistently get right: showing up for each other.”

The cast of the series includes Malik Elassal (Office Romance, Resident Alien) as Samir, Lucy Freyer (The Justice, The Wanderers) as Billie,  Jack Innanen (Big Mistakes, The Office Movers) as Paul Baker, Amita Rao (Wishful Thinking, Deli Boys) as Issa, Owen Thiele (Theater Camp, Adults Best Friend) as Anton via Variety. The second season of the series will have couple of new guest stars that includes Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Super Rhino), Raven-Symoné (That’s So Raven, The Little Rascals), Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things, Animal Farm), Jake Shane (Wishful Thinking, Too Much), Isaac Powell (The Beauty, Our Son), Ben Marshall (Saturday Night Live, One Night Only), Zosia Mamet (The Flight Attendant, Bleeding Heart) and more.

Adults is available to stream on Hulu.
