FX Adds Lucy Hale, Raul Esarza, and More Names to ‘The Answers’ Pilot

Everyone loves a good mystery, and in The Answers, the mystery is love itself. The Disney owned FX Networks brought on six more actors to this TV Pilot according to Variety. If the pilot sticks closely with the novel, then audiences should expect a lot of drama to unfold.

Among the names listed by Variety are Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars, Ragdoll), Krys Marshall (Supergirl, For All Mankind), Melanie Field (A League of Her Own, Florida Girls), Kineta Kunutu (Slave Play, The Blacklist), Raul Esparza (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Retreat), and Pallavi Sharda (Lion, My Name is Khan) via. Variety. They will be joining David Corenswet (Hollywood, The Politician) who was previously announced the male lead in November by Deadline.

The show has Danny Strong (Dopesick, Empire), Darren Aronofsky (Requiem of a Dream, The Whale), and Kit Steinkellner (Sorry for Your Loss, The Beginning of Everything) as executive producers and writers. Joining them would also be Mandy Safavi (Ender’s Game, Transformers Prime) from Danny Strong Productions, as well as Ari Handel (Noah, The Fountain) and Elizabeth Gesas (The Next three Days, Underworld: Awakening) from Protozoa owned by Aronofsky.

According to Deadline, this takes place in the near future, where the main character, Mary (Lucy Hale) “joins an enigmatic experiment that promises to hack love, but after moving into an idyllic, secluded location with her fellow female participants, she and the other women start questioning what’s really happening in the experiment, and why they’ve all been tasked with dating the same mysterious man.”

Hale and Corenswet would co-star as the main lead characters for this drama as Mary and Christopher Skye Respectfully.  Ellis would be played by Marshall, Dr. Crowe will be portrayed by Esparza, Dani will be played by Field, Ash will be played by Sharda, and Nic will be played by Kunutu.

As of now, there is no official release date, but more announcements would be coming soon as this develops.
